Oakley House is the South East’s leading event venue. We host a diverse range of different private functions in our beautiful house and grounds, celebrating birthdays, religious festivals, and personal milestones. Our private event space provides the perfect blend of historic architecture and attractive views, complete with amenities including in-house catering, silver service, wi-fi, AV equipment, and a fully stocked bar. Our location on the A21 near Bromley town centre and car park makes us easily accessible by car. The local area is also well served with rail and bus connections, local cabs, and hotels for guests from further afield. We combine the convenience of our suburban location with secluded and idyllic gardens to create a rural feel.

We have an experienced team of chefs in-house who provide a huge range of menus to suit any occasion. Whether you’re looking for a sit-down meal with full silver service, or simply a few canapés, we can have everything expertly prepared for your guests. You don’t have to worry about a thing. You can also take advantage of our fully stocked bar staffed by members of our team who’ll provide soft and alcoholic drinks throughout your event. We specialise in tailoring our catering to your needs, providing a range of menus that include vegan, kosher, halal, and gluten-free options. Just let our team know what you need and we’ll be more than happy to accommodate you.

What is the capacity of the venue?

Capacity will depend on the type of event that you are running for the protection of the venue, the safety of guests and staff, and out of consideration for our neighbours. With that said, we always want to accommodate as many of your guests as possible so please let us know how many you intend to invite, and we’ll be happy to work with you.

Is there a deposit?

We require a £1500 damage deposit as part of your booking. This will be returned in full within seven days of your event taking place, provided nothing is damaged.

Can I bring my own decorations?

We are more than happy for you to decorate your private event space as you see fit. Where possible we can store decorations on-site ahead of time, but you may need to bring them on the day. All we require is that you take these decorations with you at the end of your event.

Do you host 18th or 21st birthday parties?

You can book us for your 18th or 21st, but please note that capacity will be limited to 100 guests. Guests over the age of 18 may purchase alcohol from the bar but must have a valid photocard ID.

Do you have a car park?

There is a car park on-site with space for 220 cars comfortably.

Can I bring in external caterers?

You may bring in external caterers. However, we ask that you inform us at the time of your booking so we can be certain that this is logistically possible.

Are there any pillars in the venue?

There are no pillars in our private celebration space. You can take beautiful, unobstructed photos of the entire event from any angle.
