How much does it cost to hire Oakley House?

The cost will depend on precisely what you need for your event. We pride ourselves on working closely with our guests, discussing their needs and budgets to create a unique solution.

What is the capacity of the venue?

We reserve the right to set capacity depending on the type of event. This is to ensure that the venue is safe for both guests and our team, and out of consideration for our neighbours. For example, corporate events in ‘theatre style’ seating could have as many as 350 guests while we cap 18th and 21st birthday parties at 100. Let our team know how many people you’d like at your event, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Is the venue licensed for weddings?

The gazebo, lawns, and banqueting suite are all licensed for marriages and civil ceremonies. The historic buildings and beautiful gardens are the perfect backdrop for the big moment.

Do you require a deposit?

To hire our venue for any event, we require a £1,500 damage deposit. If nothing was damaged, this will be returned to you within seven days of your event.

Do you provide food and drink?

We have in-house catering and can provide for a huge range of requirements. Whether you need a few nibbles or a fully served sit-down meal, our chefs can deliver. There is also a bar in the main suite that is stocked with beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks and staffed by members of our friendly team. We also provide tea, coffee, water, and other refreshments for conferences and other daytime events.

What if my guests have certain dietary requirements?

We can provide for highly diverse dietary needs and have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menus readily available. If you or your guests have any dietary restrictions do not hesitate to get in touch. We’re certain we can provide delicious food perfect for them.

Is there a minimum spend behind the bar?

There is no minimum spend at our bar.

Are you available for 18th and 21st birthday parties?

You can hire the venue for an 18th or 21st birthday party. However, please note that capacity will be set at 100 guests and we will require security staff to be present at our discretion.

Do you have off-street parking?

We have a 220-space car park on the premises. This is on the Oakley House grounds, easily accessible from the venue, and out of the way of any roads.

Is there wi-fi?

The whole venue is set up with fast, modern wi-fi to ensure you and your guests stay connected throughout your event.

Is the venue pillar-free?

All our rented spaces are free of pillars and other obstructions. You or your photographer will be able to capture superb pictures and videos of the whole event.
